Biography: 

Dr. Seleshi is an Associate Professor of Veterinary Public Health at The University of Gondar, College of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences. He also serves as an Educational Quality Assurance and Audit Coordinator (EQAAC) for the college of veterinary medicine and Animal Sciences as well as head of the department of Veterinary Epidemiology and Public Health. In addition to this, he is vice chair-person for the “One health Consortium” at the University of Gondar. His research interests focus on pathogens at the animal-human interface (zoonoses) and food-borne diseases, their epidemiology, and drug sensitivity patterns. I also done researche on, and advised DVM students in, studies on Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Campylobacter jejuni, TB, Salmonella,  Brucella spp, Arcobacters, and various zoonotic food-borne parasitic diseases. Dr. Seleshi is an active member of the Ethiopian Veterinary Association, Ethiopian Public Health Association, Life Member of Indian Association of Veterinary Public Health (IAVPHS) and Life member of Indian Society for Advancement of Canine Practice (ICACP). He studies at Iowa State University, USA for four months as part of the faculty exchange program provided by the USDA. He also had the opportunity to attend a two week “Farm-to-Fork” program at The Ohio State University, USA. He will be working with the TARTARE Dairy and Beef teams.
