Noah Dameron is a second-year Food Science undergraduate student in the Department of Food Science and Technology, minoring in forestry, fishery, and wildlife at the Ohio State University. The focus of his major is on food safety and fighting food insecurity with HACCP plans, SSOPs, good manufacturing practices, and food safety laws being the main components of his degree plan.
As an Undergraduate Intern with CFI, Noah is conducting research for the FoodS.U.R.E. program under graduate student Allison Howell. His research will directly examine both food security and food safety within food pantries in the greater Columbus area. Within his residence hall, Noah is an active executive body member of his Hall Council which brings engaging activities to residents. Outside of academics, Noah volunteers as an EMT with his local fire department, participates as an adult leader in his local Boy Scout troop, and enjoys going camping and climbing.
