Kara Galvan earned her Masters of Public Health at The Ohio State University, where she specialized in Epidemiology. Kara recently concluded her 1-year long tenure as a Disease Intervention Specialist at Columbus Public Health, where she assisted in COVID-19 contact tracing for Columbus and the surrounding communities. In 2019, Kara earned her B.A. in English Language and Literature, and recently her MPH in 2021. Kara is currently taking a year off of school and hopes to return to pursue a Ph.D. in epidemiology.
As a CFI Graduate Intern, Kara assisted with the SHARE Project, while improving her data analytic skills and statistical software knowledge by learning R-programming on her own. In her free time, Kara loves to weightlift.
