Biography: 

Jack Palillo is a Master of Veterinary Public Health graduate student at The Ohio State University. In 2020, Jack graduated from Fordham University with a double major in Biological Sciences and Anthropology. Much of his previous work experience has focused on veterinary medicine in small animal hospitals and zoos. After completing his MPH degree, Jack plans on either applying to veterinary school or transitioning to a career in healthcare. In his current role as a Graduate Intern at CFI, Jack works towards characterizing patient demographics based on the data he receives for the SHARE Project.

In the meantime, Jack has a research publication on Crayfish (Procambarus spp.) in the works and serves as a Graduate Research Assistant at Nationwide Children's Hospital. He has achieved certification in Incident Command System (ICS) and has varied experiences in animal hospitals as a Veterinary Assistant, overseeing pre/post-op animal care, routine vaccinations, and technician-led veterinary procedures. Outside of school, Jack loves to spend his time exploring new places through running and spending time with his dog, Jilly.
