Harmeen Prasher is a first-year Ph.D. student in Food Science and Technology at The Ohio State University. In 2015, Harmeen received her B.Sc. in Microbiology from Punjab Agricultural University. After graduating, she joined the Master's program in the department of Microbiology, at Punjab Agricultural University in India. While there, she completed her master's thesis on the detection of foodborne pathogens using a bacteriological food testing kit, devised during her Master's research.

As a Graduate Research Associate and Doctoral student with CFI, Harmeen will be working with CFI's Handwashing For Life Institute and the Healthy People 2030 Norovirus Work Group (WG) with Norovirus being her chosen area of dissertation research. Harmeen also assists the CFI team in administrative work related to the TARTARE project. However, in her free time, Harmeen likes to paint and do things related to crafts — she also loves to travel.
