Our 2022 Giving Campaign went live on Monday, November 28th at midnight, and it will end on December 31st at 11:59 PM, just before the new year. We are currently sitting at $3,681 with only 12 days remaining in our campaign, and a goal of $5,000! One such way is through CFI team member involvement with advisory groups, wherein we are able to translate the insights gained through our scientific research projects into action! Whether it be by delivering our research findings to food safety stakeholders using their preferred delivery channels and formats that match their information needs, regularly interacting with individuals or groups engaged in developing evidence-informed food safety policies and practices, submitting public comments on newly proposed regulation, or by serving on a variety food safety boards/committees/advisory groups. Some of our own Graduate Research Associates have been able to join in on the action and actively engage in these public service activities themselves, and have learned first-hand how food policy is developed and their critical role within this system, as emerging food safety leaders.
