New Person-in-charge Curriculum: Know and Show

This training meets Ohio Department of Health Person-In-Charge (PIC) Certification in Food Protection requirements by providing safe food handling education for food service employees as well as those opening an establishment for the first time. This training uses a variety of engaging activities and discussion to enhance understanding of major food safety principles. Food service employees will be able to demonstrate knowledge to foodborne illness prevention by learning topics including personal hygiene, cleaning and sanitizing, cross contamination, proper cooking and holding of food, and facilities management.
Upon completion of the course, participants will receive Person in Charge Certification in Food Protection recognized by the Ohio Department of Health.

Targeting restaurant managers, school food service, nursing homes and other food service personnel, the ServSafe® training program is the industry standard for food safety education.

TAP - Training Achievement Program
- The Training Achievement Program (TAP) offers an online alternative to our traditional in-person food safety classes. This course is for owners, managers and/or workers in a food-service establishment that require Level II certification in food safety training by the Ohio Department of Health.

INTRODUCTORY FOOD SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
- This online, on-demand, 3-course introductory level certificate program provides an overview of food components and nutrition, food manufacturing, and food safety. The purpose of this program is to provide food industry professionals, who have not received a formal education in the field, with knowledge of the essential elements of food science and technology.
