We are proud to announce food safety training programs through OSU Extension! Here’s more info about them.

Food workers and managers can now turn to Ohio State University Extension for food safety training that meets their training needs. The ServSafe® program was developed by the National Restaurant Association and meets requirements under Ohio Department of Health requirements for food safety training.

For information about training opportunities in your local area in Ohio, please consult our directory of country offices with certified trainers and the dates for upcoming classes. Both Employee, Level 1 classes and Manager, Level 2 classes are offered.

For food volunteers, training is also available from Ohio State University. The program, Safe Food Handling for Occasional Quantity Cooks was developed in Ohio for anyone who may help in food pantries, soup kitchens, church programs, or other non-profit organizations who offer prepared foods for the public.
