Martha Filipic has been writing about food safety, nutrition and related issues for Ohio State University's College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences since 1987, and has written the weekly Chow Line column since 1994. With a background in journalism (BSJ, Northwestern University) and communications (MA, The Ohio State University), her goal is to help readers cut through the often confusing world of conflicting food-related information and to clarify complex scientific research into bottom-line guidance people can use.
